My Mom with me when I lived in New York, visiting the Statue of Liberty with the World Trade Center in the background. Don’t laugh at my outfit, this was summer 2000. I could never imagine that my Mom would die of a brain tumor just a few months later, the day after Christmas, nor that the World Trade Center would be destroyed the following year. Miss you every day Mom, and the world I grew up in.
